Think about a poem that took your breath away. Have you ever wondered HOW that poem was able to package so much power?
Or perhaps you want to write your own poems, and expand your tool chest. Thankfully, poets have created all sorts of delightful gizmos over the years. With a bit of playful digging, those doodads are also available for your crafty use 🙂
Cue the entrance for Poetry Roam. Poetry Roam provides an opportunity not only to dally in the magic of verse, but also to draft new poems. These virtual lounges are open to all poetry levels, including beginner.
Each session will focus on a different craft element, and offer example poems for exploration. There will then be ample time to freewrite, with an optional prompt provided. Each lounge concludes with debriefing and sharing to each person’s comfort level.
This autumn’s Poetry Roams will happen on select Fridays from 2:30pm-3:45pm Eastern. You can pay for individual sessions, or buy a discounted series ticket, which covers all sessions.* Fees are sliding scale.

October 18: art of the line
November 1: form
November 15: speaker and point of view
November 22: punctuation
